Tunde Omomeji is a Nigerian pianist, keyboardist, music director, arranger and composer with more than twenty years in music. His sound is rooted in gospel and moves easily through highlife, Afrobeat, jazz and contemporary styles. He is known for emotive, dynamic playing and for bands that are tight, prepared and serve the moment.
He won Star Quest in 2009 and went on to serve as pianist at TREM headquarters and keyboardist at RCCG City of David, Victoria Island, where he shared the Alabanza stage with Kierra Sheard. He has played keys for leading gospel and Afro-jazz artists, including saxophonist Mike Aremu, and directed the band for Princess Anath in concert. Today he works between the UK and Nigeria as a session keyboardist and music director for artists, churches, concerts and private events.
His releases include “Gbega”, a highlife gospel praise song that blends Pidgin, English and Yoruba.
